[5/16/2022, WASHINGTON D.C.] – Pro-police grassroots organization National Police Support Fund has announced their sponsorship of Tent City through the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1 during this year’s National Police Week.
National Police Week offers honor, remembrance, and peer support, while allowing law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty. The National Police Support Fund has been supporting and attending this event in Washington DC for many years and is honored to take part in the 2022 commemoration as well. The FOP DC Lodge #1 Tent City is a place for law enforcement and their families to go during Police Week to enjoy music, food, and drinks at the bar with friends.
“This year stands out as one of the most important years in history to honor all of our officers and remember those that we’ve lost. The anti-police rhetoric and the pandemic have hit our men and women in blue hard, and this week we get to come together as a unified voice to thank them and make sure they know they have our full support,” the organization said in a statement.
National Police Support Fund is committed to promoting the interests and well-being of American police officers within the public policy process through grassroots political action. This grassroots movement is driven by everyday Americans who believe in supporting the rule of law and honoring the police officers who uphold and enforce it everyday. National Police Support Fund was founded as a response to the rise of an increasingly violent anti-police sentiment across the country.
“We are thrilled to see National Police Week return to its full capacity this year after the past few years! It was another amazing week and we hope all of the attendees found the camaraderie, support, respect, and hope that they so rightfully deserve,” Executive Director Simon Lewis commented.
The National Police Support Fund is a national political organization organized under Section 527 of the IRS Tax Code. Contributions are not tax deductible. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
