National Police Support Fund Sponsors Virtual 5K During National Police Week

National Police Week 2021 - National Police Support Fund

The National Police Support Fund teamed up with the Washington, D.C. FOP Lodge #1 to sponsor a virtual 5K that ran through May 16 as part of National Police Week.

National Police Week is held every year in Washington, D.C. and provides an opportunity for law enforcement officials across the country to come together to both celebrate the profession and remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The event was moved online last year due to COVID-19, but organizers are already hard at work planning an in-person event for October. In the meantime, the 5K and other virtual events provide important outlets for connection and camaraderie while COVID-19 restrictions are still in place.

Participants in the virtual 5K registered online to receive their race kits, which include a race bib and commemorative T-Shirt honoring the officers we lost in 2020.

Tag the Washington, D.C. FOP Lodge #1 in your race photos and the organization will share them on its social media accounts and the top post will receive an appreciation gift. All proceeds from the race will support Concerns of Police Survivors, the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation, and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
