ARLINGTON, Virginia – The National Police Support Fund staff will be attending National Police Week in Washington D.C.
The staff will be there to interact with law enforcement, celebrate their history and honor those who have died. A new event on the agenda is an inaugural Police K-9 Memorial Service which will consist of a wreath laying ceremony to honor of K-9s who have given their lives in the line of duty.
Other events will consist of the Police Unity Tour Arrival Ceremony, 30th Annual Candlelight Vigil, 37th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, and National Police Survivors Conference and C.O.P.S. Kids/Teens. A vendor fair will take place at the Fraternal Order of Police D.C. Lodge allowing APOA to have an exhibit booth to inform law enforcement of their missions and values.
National Police Week will take place May 11-16.
